If you're wondering why you didn't get your refund yet, it may be due to the processing time. It may vary from 1–10 business days depending on return method.
- Store Returns: Refunds on items returned to a Staples store will be processed within 1 to 3 business days
- Pick-up Returns: Items picked up and returned by our courriers can take up to 10 business days to be refunded
- Order Refusal: Refunds that are the result of refusing a package at the door may take up to 10 business days from the day of the delivery attempt.
- Adjustments: Refunds due to an adjustment made on your order (credits, taxes, delivery fees, price matches, or associate discount) will take between 3 to 5 business days. For customers with a Staples Commercial Account, the refund is immediately displayed on the customer's online portal.
MasterCard debit and Visa debit refunds may take longer – approximately 21 business days.
Gift Cards
Visa / Mastercard Gift Cards
Refunds for Visa/Mastercard gift cards take longer than regular credit cards: Refunds can take up to 7-10 business days.
Staples Gift Cards
Refunds related to online orders tendered to Staples gift cards, get refunded to a new gift card that gets emailed to you. The email of the new gift card gets emailed up to 24 hours. If you do not receive the gift card, you can contact Customer Service.
